Recognising a deterioration in a patients condition and knowing how to treat life threatening problems can prevent cardiac arrest. Resus Aid teaches you the first link in the Chain of Survival for common medical emergencies such as asthma, chest pain, sepsis, hypoglycaemia, seizures, to name but a few.

Clinical insitu simulations

The most powerful learning tool is a near to real life experience. Clinical insitu simulations provide an objective measurement of how you and your team manage a medical emergency and cardiac arrest. This method of learning tests knowledge, skills, team leadership and responsiveness. Resus Aid instructors are highly skilled in debriefing, drawing out the learning outcomes of all involved in the simulation. Gaining exposure to medical emergencies in a simulated event increases confidence in healthcare providers in the event of a real life emergency.

Adult Basic Life Support

The fundamentals of resuscitation start with recognising cardiac arrest and being able to respond instantly with skills and confidence to perform basic life support. Out of hospital cardiac arrest survival to going home with full neurological function is less than 5%!

Resus Aid provides a safe teaching environment to teach you how to perform high quality chest compressions so you can make a difference in the second link of the Chain of Survival.

Early confirmation and early CPR buys time until healthcare providers with advanced life support skills can take over the care of the person in cardiac arrest.

Defibrillation

The third link in the Chain of Survival is early defibrillation. Have you seen the AED at the gym or train station and wondered ‘what if someone collapses here?’ ‘Can I use that AED?’ ‘Can I make a difference?’

Resus Aid provides you with the answer ‘YES’ by giving you the skills and confidence to use that AED if and when the situation arises.

Do you want to help improve the out of hospital cardiac arrest survival rates and know that it could be you making the difference? Please get in touch to arrange your CPR & AED training now.
